Cutting and tightening
An abdominoplasty is useful when excess, sagging skin on the abdomen is bothersome after massive weight loss. The incision is made horizontally, starting in the pubic region and extending in an arc to the hip bones. The umbilicus must be repositioned and plastically sutured in place, and the subcutaneous fatty tissue is detached up to the base of the ribs. The abdominal wall muscles are tapered, by means of plastic relieving sutures the skin closure is performed in the appropriate incision. It is important that the entire abdominal skin and the lateral hip are gathered without creating any protruding skin flaps in the hip area. If desired and for an even better result, excess fat deposits can be eliminated by liposuction during the tummy tuck procedure.
To prevent the risk of thrombosis, regular movement of feet and legs post-op is very important. Since the wound area after abdominoplasty is relatively large, postoperative bleeding may occur and must be staunched. A special bandage is applied immediately after the procedure, and after a few days a specially adapted compression device must be worn for at least six weeks.
Outpatient check-ups are performed after 6 to 8 weeks and after one year. A detailed photo documentation records the development.

1. consultation tummy tuck
The consultation of a custom tuck takes about 60 min. A tummy tuck is a complex operation for which the preliminary discussion and examination are particularly important. A doctor from our team will take all the time it takes to explain everything to you in an understandable way.
2nd day of treatment
Conversation again
On the day of the tummy tuck at Gentlemen’s Clinic, the plastic surgeon will go through the individual steps one more time so that you also have the opportunity to ask questions again.
General anesthesia
Abdominoplasty is performed under general anesthesia. This is performed by an anesthesiologist while the surgeon operates to tighten the abdominal wall.
Tightening
Excess skin is removed and the areas where the abdominal wall has been opened are carefully sutured closed so that there are no rough and unattractive scars.
Wake-up phase
After the successful surgery, you will be slowly brought out of the general anesthesia. Until you regain full consciousness, you will continue to be monitored and accompanied by our specialist staff.
3. aftercare
The healing process of a tummy tuck is accompanied by us very carefully. For this you will come to the first follow-up after one week. After that, another control takes place after about 4 weeks (more possible if necessary).
