Effective outpatient liposuction for men
Liposuction is performed on an outpatient basis and the guest can go home immediately after the treatment; working is possible again the next day in practically all cases.
Fat distribution in the body is largely determined by heredity and diet. Exercise or diet may lead to a reduction in fat mass in each fat cell, but they have no effect on the overall distribution of fat cells, which is genetically determined. Disturbing fat deposits are often resistant to diets or exercise. For many men, liposuction is therefore a quick and effective way to get rid of annoying fat deposits.

1. consultation liposuction
You should allow at least 45 minutes for a liposuction consultation. A plastic surgeon from our team will examine you and answer any unanswered questions. We recommend that you bring any questions that come up during your preliminary research to the consultation. The exact procedure of liposuction, your expectations and possible results, will also be discussed.
2nd day of treatment (approx. 3 hrs.)
Liposuction is an outpatient procedure. This means you can go home again the same day.
Conversation again
When you come into the Gentlemen’s Clinic on the day of your liposuction, the surgeon will go over the steps one more time. It is especially important to us that all points are clarified and that you have a good feeling about the procedure.
Marking
During this last consultation, the affected area is marked.
Twilight sleep
After everything has been discussed and the drawing is ready, you will be put into a twilight sleep intravenously. The operation itself takes place under general anesthesia only upon explicit request.
Suction
The technique and approach of liposuction suction is critical to avoid post-operative dimpling or sagging skin. Our team’s many years of experience and state-of-the-art equipment ensure the best possible results.
Wake-up phase
Immediately after liposuction, you will receive a special pressure dressing and wake up in a relaxed atmosphere before going home. Depending on how far your journey is, we recommend that you be picked up by a relative. Otherwise, you can stay with us until you feel fit enough to go home.
3. aftercare
Follow-up care is very important for the desired final result. Recovery and healing process of liposuction is controlled already after one week. Another follow-up is usually performed after 4 weeks, and a final check is performed after 6 months.

The procedure
Liposuction itself is performed under local anesthesia (tumescent anesthesia) and sedation. The guest is put into a state of complete relaxation, but remains responsive and can be awakened at any time – no pain occurs. The ultra-thin microcannulas (1-3mm) allow eliminating the fat cells in the connective tissue apparatus of the subcutaneous adipose tissue without destroying the latter. The incisions are tiny (1-2mm) and heal almost invisibly.
Immediately afterwards, the guest is wrapped in absorbent materials, which are held in place by compression garments, depending on the zone. The tiny surgical incisions remain open and are neither glued nor sutured. Fluid will leak from these over the next 24-36 hours to prevent bacterial infection of the aspirated skin areas. Sporadically, it is possible that the circulation may be somewhat out of balance on the day of surgery. We therefore recommend rest, drinking as much as possible and relaxing walks.
After the procedure
Approximately one week after liposuction, we recommend manual lymphatic drainage and/or deep oscillation to cause faster lymphatic drainage and thus faster removal of waste products and stimulation of metabolism. In this way, the healing process is accelerated, the skin tissue becomes soft and supple again.
A first follow-up is usually performed after 4 weeks, and a final follow-up after 6 months.
Please note: Liposuction is used to contour the body and eliminate problem areas, not for general fat burning or weight loss. Only subcutaneous fat – the fat between the skin and the underlying muscles – can be suctioned off. Deeper fat, such as intra-abdominal fat (which coats the internal organs), cannot be eliminated by liposuction. Liposuction does not replace dieting, but it can be very useful as initial therapy for weight loss. Often guests are motivated after liposuction to maintain or even optimize the newly gained body contours, which is why it is subsequently easier for them to lose weight permanently through physical training and (medically supported) diet.
Frequently asked questions about liposuction
When will the results be visible?
Immediately after the treatment, the results are already visible.
Does the result last forever?
The fat cells removed with liposuction do not regress, they remain permanently removed. However, in the future, the patient may gain weight in other areas of the body that have not been treated.
What to consider after liposuction?
Move as much as possible, and take fluids. Approximately 8 hours after liposuction, feelings similar to sore muscles occur in the treated areas of the body. It is possible that the circulation will be a little out of balance on the day of the procedure.
When can liposuction not be performed?
Liposuction is not performed on persons under 18 years of age, unrealistic expectations, and persons suffering from Chronic Dysmorphic Disorder (a strong psychological overlay in which an “addiction” to cosmetic surgery develops and the patient continuously views him/herself as ugly).
Where is the procedure performed?
Always on an outpatient basis on the premises of the Gentlemen’s Clinic, afterwards our patients can go directly home.
What recovery time should I expect?
If only a small area is treated, such as the hips, the patient can return to work the very next day. For suction in the abdominal area, we recommend a few days off.
Can several areas be treated at the same time?
Yes, this is also requested by many of our customers. In principle, any zone can be treated with liposuction. The patient’s individual problem areas are discussed during the preliminary examination and the amount of fat is palpated. The most popular for men are the abdomen, the so-called “love handles”, the male chest and the chin.
Is the procedure performed under general anesthesia?
In our clinic, the patient is not put under general or partial anesthesia during liposuction, but is only locally anesthetized by tumescent anesthesia. In this procedure, the fat pads are filled with a mixture of anesthetics such as lidocaine, prilocaine, adrenaline and homeopathic substances, as well as a saline solution. This process of dissolution can take 30-60 minutes and is painless for the patient, as we use extremely thin needles (0.3mm) in our clinic. During the exposure, the patient can have drinks, read or listen to music. No side effects worth mentioning occur during this process.
Do I need to wear a bandage after liposuction?
To allow for rapid decongestion, compression after the procedure is important. If liposuction is performed on the legs, the patient is fitted with a panty, and in the abdominal area, the patient is fitted with an abdominal belt. This must be worn day and night for one week. However, showering is not affected by this.
Is there supportive care after surgery?
After liposuction we recommend lymphatic drainage. As a result of the surgery, lymphatic fluids have most likely accumulated around the treated area. The healing time after liposuction can be greatly reduced by lymphatic drainage. This is not a spa treatment.
